Paris Photo 2009 to exhibit Kiarostami's artworks

Photos by the celebrated Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami will go on diplay on at London's Purdy Hicks Gallery as part of a program organized for the 2009 Paris Photo.
The main program of the Paris Photo, the world's premier event for photography, will be held from November 19 to 22 at the Carrousel du Louvre.
At the same time, a number of Western galleries in the general section will be presenting photographic works created by Arabs.
In its 13th edition,Paris Photo turns the spotlight on photographic work from Arabian countries and Iran in what is an unprecedented exploration of art's practice in this part of the world.
A round- table discussion "Spotlight on the Arabian and Iranian scene" and "Persia, Photography and Prestige" will be held on the sidelines of the event.
This year's event will be based upon three components. The Central Exhibition will unveil a selection of rare studio photographs from the archives of the Arab Image Foundation in Beirut.
The Statement section will present works by a number of emerging talents from the Orient and the Project Room will offer a series of video works.

سونی، پلی استیشن 3 باریک خود را اول سپتامبر با قیمت 300 دلار (100 دلار ارزانتر از پلی استیشن 3 معمولی) در آمریکای شمالی عرضه می کند. این نسخه 300 دلاری با 120 گیگابایت هارد به فروش می رسد، نسخه 160 گیگابایتی آن هم با قیمت 400 دلار در دسترس خواهد بود. همچنین این پلی استیشن باریک، 32% کوچکتر و 36% سبکتر از قبل است و 34% مصرف برق کمتری نسبت به نسخه معمولی دارد. لوگوی این محصول که قبلا با حروف بزرگ (PLAY STATION 3) بر روی دستگاه درج می شد، به PS3 تغییر می یابد و همچنین می توانید فقط با پردخت 24 دلار یک پایه عمودی هم برای کنسول زیبای خود داشته باشید. البته شاید ایرادهایی هم به این کنسول باریک سونی وارد باشد. عدم وجود کلید خاموش-روشن و کارت خوان و وجود دو پورت USB به جای چهار پورت از این ایرادات به شمار می روند. همچنین امکان نصب لینوکس در این نسخه وجود ندارد. قابلیت ویژه ای که PlayStation 3 Slim دارد، این است که در صورت اتصال آن توسط HDMI به تلویزیون های براویا (BRAVIA) -که محصول سونی هستند- با کنترل تلویزیون خود، می توانید XMB پلی استیشن خود را کنترل کنید و همچنین با خاموش کردن تلویزیون، کنسول بازی سونی را هم خاموش نمایید.
